These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Docgrity app for Confluence ("the App"), published by Ujjavala Singh ("we", "us"). By installing or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you install the App on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
Docgrity is an Atlassian Forge app that analyses Confluence content to surface potential duplicates, contradictions and open questions, with supporting evidence and inferred potential ownership. The App runs entirely on the Atlassian Forge platform. We operate no servers and cannot access your Confluence content. Your use of Atlassian products remains governed by your agreement with Atlassian.
The App's AI analysis requires an API key for a third-party AI provider (such as Google Gemini, OpenAI, or Anthropic) that you supply and configure. You are responsible for: (a) your agreement with, and any fees charged by, that provider; (b) ensuring that sending your Confluence content to that provider is permitted by your organisation's policies and applicable law; and (c) keeping your API key valid and appropriately scoped. Content sent to your AI provider is processed under your agreement with that provider, not ours.
Findings are produced by AI models and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or wrong. The App presents evidence for every finding and labels inferred ownership as potential, but you are responsible for reviewing findings before acting on them. The App never edits, archives or modifies content without explicit human confirmation, and all actions are recorded in an audit log.
You must not use the App to violate any law, infringe third-party rights, probe or circumvent Atlassian or AI-provider security controls, or attempt to extract or interfere with other tenants' data. You must have the right to analyse the Confluence content you point the App at.
Data handling is described in our Privacy Policy & Data Statement, which forms part of these Terms. In short: app data is stored in Atlassian Forge storage scoped to your installation, the only external data flow is to the AI provider you configure, and uninstalling the App triggers deletion under Atlassian's Forge data lifecycle.
We retain all rights in the App. You retain all rights in your Confluence content and in the findings generated from it. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for your internal business purposes while these Terms are in effect.
The App is provided on an as-available basis and depends on the Atlassian Forge platform and your chosen AI provider, whose availability we do not control. We may update, change, or discontinue features, and may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of findings, and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss of data arising from use of the App. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the App is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim and AUD $50. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to re-supply of the service.
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms. Sections 3, 6, 8, 9 and 11 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
